Symptom Watcher

It is important for you, the parent, to make a date to talk to your child at least once a week. Inquire about classes, social activities and friends. Being a part of their college life will allow you to be able to notice if there is a change in behavior.

If you have a concern, bring the topic up gently with your child and discuss what you see and offer suggestions on how to cope. Or seek professional help.

Some stress relief suggestions

College can be a stressful time in your child's life. Encourage them to:

  • Relax neck/shoulders/body
  • Get a massage
  • Meditate/pray
  • Laugh
  • Learn something new
  • Congratulate themselves on their accomplishments
