Urgent Situations (You need help right away) Asthma (which is not responding to usual medication) Fracture or dislocation Laceration requiring stitches Injury with significant pain and swelling	Go to Vaden Health Center, if it's open, call: (650) 498-2336 If it's closed: Palo Alto Center Urgent Care: (650) 853-2958 OR Stanford University Medical Center Emergency Department
Life-Threatening Conditions (serious injury or threat to life) Broken bones Shortness of breath Chest pain Uncontrolled bleeding	Call 9-1-1, or use a blue emergency phone You will be taken to the nearest hospital Emergency Department. The Stanford University Medical Center Emergency Department is the nearest one on campus.
