Urgent Situations (You need help right away)
  • Asthma (which is not responding to usual medication)
  • Fracture or dislocation
  • Laceration requiring stitches
  • Injury with significant pain and swelling

Stanford University Medical Center Emergency Department
Life-Threatening Conditions (serious injury or threat to life)
  • Broken bones
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
Call 9-1-1, or use a blue emergency phone

You will be taken to the nearest hospital Emergency Department. The Stanford University Medical Center Emergency Department is the nearest one on campus.
